Balance software and the remote controller allow:
Pneumatic regulation of the platforms for an independent movement of the feet, which will be calibrated according to the weight of the patient prior to each examination;
The automatic counterbalance of the pressure in case a patient completely moves the body weight only over one platform ;
The reading to be displayed on the remote control. Extremely précised data will be recorded, which allow to quantify precisely the LLD in millimeters and the amount of pressure applied by each foot (expressed in Bar);
Once the patient finds the position of balance and comfort, the platform will be locked by a blocking mechanism regulated by remote control. Data will then be easily recorded and analysed;
Data can be stored for future further investigation and analysis on the patient's posture and gait
.
Due to health and safety reason, practitioner should be aware that we advise to check suitability of the patient prior to carry out examination on the BALANCE system. In addition if a patient is not suitable for examination, results obtained may not truly reflect the pathology diagnosed.

An individual that shows a lower limbs eterometry, will surely evidence, in erected position, a postural disharmony of body and feet.
If the feet, in fact, are not specularly similar in the charge distribution or in the asset, they can underline postural anomalies conditioned from the body structure.
Eterometry can manifest also with the basin inclination or rotation, provoking curvings or torsions of the vertebral column.
Beyond the aesthetic, eterometry provokes little muscle-tendineo-skeletal "adjustments" that originate tensions, laxities and articulations misoperation, in the search of a satisfactory equilibrium condition. The articular rigidity, the muscular tone, the body mass and the age are absolutely subjective elements that suggest, in presence of the same eterometry, an "ad personam" compensation. This logical consideration has induced to us to plan a new instrument (balance). Thanks to its conceptual simplicity the "balance" concurs to characterize the compensation necessary in order to benefit the examined subject without mistakes.
BALANCE
The ideal condition for the physical wellbeing is the relax position of the body while standing. In a situation of true LLD, the cause of symptoms is to be “attributed to the floor” what we have developed is a system able to remove the effect of the ground reaction forces with the use of two independent platforms, which are movable under pressure, fitted with heel support for the positioning of feet according to the angle of gait of the patient. Once The BALANCE software is activated, with the patient standing on it, the two platforms will start working independently, giving a sort of sensation of floating. The patient will be able to spontaneously find his or her natural position of balance and the optimal position of comfort (without the influence of the ground reaction forces). The BALANCE software is able to record the position of the limbs and to precisely quantify any possible amount of asymmetry in the lower limb. The data recorded will reflects and quantify the exact true LLD of the patient in a position of total comfort and relax.
The practitioner's clinical judgment may decide to apply heel raises into the Walkable insole, in order to compensate to the LLD diagnosed by using the BALANCE system. However we recommend to carry out the test more than once in order to have absolute confirmation of the diagnose maybe altered by the patient while familiarising with the equipment. In addition, once the true value of LLD is found, practitioner can add the appropriate thickness of heel wedges underneath the shorter leg, and carry out the test once more. This test will give confirmation (balance value will be 0) that once the appropriate wedges are applied, the lower limb will find its original balance and alignment. Possibly adjustments on the Walkable insole can be easily added extrinsically till balance of the lower limb is achieved.
